Location: It is located in the half the diameter smaller than the ellipse that forms the Sad Gulf , limited by the Mountain range of the Costa. The in circle that surrounds to Port Hair the Hill of Patanemo prevails, with a height 1.425 meters and the Hill The Masthead with 218 meters high.

It is the main port of the country as for load movement. It has positions of it robs for ships from 100 to 190 length meters and soaked of 11,6 meters .

He/she has warehouses for 992.000 metric tons with an area of 62.000 metros2 and approximately 375.000 metros2 of patios.

It mobilizes general load and to bulk with a total of 9.375.000 tons a year. It possesses silos with capacity of 621.200 metric tons.

Port Cabello is located in a privileged area, because its geographical position allows him a quick and direct contact with the industrial and agricultural regions of the center and occident of the country. The industry of bigger than more importance it is the petrochemistry, located some 30 kilometers of the port. In the same region they operate two refineries. Due to their natural characteristics, Port Hair can be considered as a lagoon or lagoon improved artificially, surrounded of sandy beaches and coralline reefs.

Their entrance is to 0,5 miles toward the south of Brave Tip, in a bay that has 2 miles wide, located to the Southwest of the noted tip.

The coastal traffic jetties have a longitude 825 meters and the adjacent depth to them it was also dredged to 6 meters .

Port Cabello communicates with Barquisimeto by means of railroad and with Caracas, Valencia and Maracay for modern freeways that have favored its development, transforming it into the most active economic area in the country.

Two basins located to the NNE of the Naval Base were dredged and they are in the north part of the port.

A jetty of concrete of 1.200 meters of longitude forms the south side of the Port. The area of maneuvers of about 320 width meters is toward the north of the oriental extremity of the jetty. From this position, he/she extends toward the south a small jetty of 342 meters and it continues toward the west for 500 meters.

The part of the bay located to the west of the jetties is of low waters. Some luminous buoys and mounted lights on posts mark the limit of the dredged area.

VENTERMINALES
Latitud: 10º 29' North (N); Longitud: 68° 01' West (W)

Location: This dock is located to the West of Puerto Cabello and the Eastern side of Goaigoaza Island. Its structure is built of reinforced concrete, and measures 8 meters (26 ft.) in length and a width of 7 meters (23 ft). It has a depth of 9.3 meters (30 ft.) on both sides, and has two (2) docking spaces for chemical transport ships. The Western side of the dock has a conveyor belt for bulk cargoes, and the Eastern side disposes of pipelines for the unloading of liquid products.

These are storage installation with complete maritime services available. They began their operations in the70's, and nowadays is considered the largest private for public use in Venezuela, as regards the handling of liquid chemicals and bulk cargoes. This is located in Puerto Cabello, near one of the country's most important industrial areas. It offers equal advantages, both to the importer and the exporter, including excellent docking facilities for ocean going vessels.

Facilities: Storage for liquid products is available in 165 tanks, whose sizes vary from 60 to 3.400 m3, for a total of 101.000 meters3. The variety of products handled, include a large volume of solvents, acids, glycols, and food grade chemicals as also tallow and vegetable vegetales, oils. These facilities fulfill both the national and international standard requirements, and they include the following: stainless steel and normal,. steel pipelines; a semi automatic drum filling system; stainless steel storage tanks; spill confinement dykes and walls all over the tank yard; fire protection system and an analysis laboratory on the premises.

Bulk Products Handling: A crane with a capacity to lift up to 12 tons is used to transfer the products from the ships to the reversible conveyor belt, connected to a transitory silo with a capacity of 500 meters3, from where it is fed directly to a modular warehouse, equipped with internal shuttle conveyors and with special feeders that reduce the dust accumulation. Ships with cargo capacity of 30.000 meters3 and an unloading speed of from4.000 to 7.000 tons per day, are normally handled. Dry bulk storage capacity is 60.000 tons. Direct loading can also be undertaken by feeding the product through the transitory silo, using a dust vacuum.

EL PALITO
Latitude: 10° 29' Norte (N); Longitude: 68° 01' West (W)

Tugs: Their use is obligatory, they attend the one it robs to the and cast off, two are generally used. 

A jetty in form of "T" a mile is located to the northwest of The Stick, it is not sheltered reason why it is necessary to assure the ends of mooring of the ship well. Their depths vary from 14 to 16 meters to all their long one and he/she extends toward the north of the coast for about 530 meters and then toward the NE for about 183 meters. It has two waterspout and four mooring buoys. A light is shown in each jetty end and a group of silver tanks of storage of petroleum they stand out approximately in earth to 1,5 miles to the SSW of the end of the jetty.

OCAMAR (COMMERCIAL TERMINAL)
Latitud: 10º 29' North (N); Longitude: 68° 01' West (W)

Location: Located in the northwest riverbank of the basin of the port of Port Cabello.

Port facilities: The terminal of OCAMAR, offers its services in the floating jetties of the Naval Base "CA Agustín Armario" in this coast, in the modality of public port of private use.

Conformed by two floating jetties, patios and warehouses, these facilities work as a terminal of commercial use (it Loads General and to Bulk), under the administration of the Coordinating Office of Marine Transport (OCAMAR), an autonomous service of the Venezuelan Armada.

The terminal consists of two jetties 190 meters long and four positions of it robs, with a depth 33 feet approximately. The area was enabled by the Seniat like tariff primary area and it has 17.000 m2 of patios.

TERQUIMCA TERMINAL (CHEMICAL TERMINAL )
Latitude: 10° 29' North (N); Longitude: 68° 01' West (W)

Location: Located in the northwest riverbank of the basin of Port Hair, it operates the 24 hours of the day the 365 days of the year. Terminal specialized for the handling of chemical products. It is endowed with services of air, vapor, dilutes, systems of security and illumination for operations and rob nocturne. This terminal serves about 120 ships a year.
